OvaMap is the first true biological clock test, a breakthrough prediction test that allows women to proactively manage and plan their reproductive life. Women are born with one pool of eggs that they will have throughout their lives. Women’s eggs begin to age even before birth and continue to do so until their depletion at menopause. Often it is not until a woman tries to conceive that she learns about premature ovarian aging, (POA) which is one of the major causes of female infertility.
With OvaMap, women will learn if they are at risk for premature ovarian aging, and will be able to take charge of their reproductive life. OvaMap uses a proprietary algorithm that integrates FMR1 gene analysis, hormone levels, age and race/ethnicities to predict the degree of risk of early ovarian aging in young women.
